The latest designed 6-layer gold immersion main PCB circuit adopts high-precision, ultra-low noise 27MHz TCXO temperature compensated crystal oscillator doubling the high precision LDO power supply processing used on the UDP800 for ultimate accuracy. In addition, more digital signal processing and x10 LDO voltage stabilizers have been added compared to the UDP800. Murata multilayer ceramic capacitor TDK magnetic devices and 30 NCC electrolytic capacitors further improves audio and video quality. The UDP900 can play DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD discs and even media files, featuring both H265 & H264 support. Picture quality is sharp and clear, with crisp details pleasing to the eyes.

HDR Technology

The UDP900 has eye-popping brightness, contrast and gorgeous colors. Picture is rich and full, with vivid colors, even in low light and backlight environments. UDP900 supports HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision with stunning HDR to SDR conversion, with BT.2020/BT.709/BT.601 color space support.

4K UHD Upscaling

In addition to the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray compatibility, the UDP900 can upscale low resolution video sources up to 4K UHD resolution 50/60Hz (3840 x 2160) which is four times the resolution of Full HD 1080p, improving picture quality for the best home video experience possible.

High Fidelity Lossless Music

The UDP900 can decode DSD64/128, DSD64 multichannel and 192kHz/24bit formats with support for AIFF, ALAC, APE, FLAC and WAV audio files. Enjoy 4K HD picture quality without missing every detail of sound. The UDP900 supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, as well as Dolby Atmos, Auro3D, DTS-X and DTS Virtual X, allowing you to enjoy the best panoramic sound and an immersive experience.

Full multimedia experience

The Magnetar UDP900 universal player supports most standard disc and media formats, such as 4K UHD-BD, BD, BD-R, BD-RE, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, SACD, CD, and CD-R/RW. In addition, USB external hard drives up to 16TB are supported, with direct access from your computer or NAS via your local network using DLNA, SMB or NFS protocols supporting a wide range of media formats including MKV, AVI, MP4, M2TS, WAV, FLAC, APE, MP3, DSD, etc., users can easily play and manage media files in local and LAN storage devices.

Dual Power Supply Design

Customized high power switching supply with transient response provides power for the digital board section, 60W high-power low noise transformer with a two-stage filter design along with a multitude of Japanese Rubycon electronic capacitors are used to meet the high transient response required by surround sound systems and high-resolution audio. A separate metal case dampens noise providing stability and quietness, further enhancing the audio and video quality.

60W toroidal transformer supplies power for analog audio. Using imported magnetic core, high quality oxygen free copper wiring, metal shields and full epoxy filling is used to reduce vibration noise and heat generation improving output and audio quality.

Premium Digital Analog Converters

For Pure Audio playback, UDP900 adopts two ultra-low noise 100MHz TCXO temperature compensated crystal oscillators for more accurate systemclock. Two independent DAC processors are used for two-channel and multichannel D/A decoding, for audiophile sound quality. ESS9038PRO D/A decoding for 2-channel XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced outputs, ESS9028PRO D/A decoding for 7.1 RCA output. UDP900 comes with stereo XLR gold-plated balanced terminals and stereo RCA gold-plated unbalanced outputs. Pure audio mode function is available to bring uncompromised sound quality to audio lovers.
