Previous equalizers only provided limited benefits, whereas our new parametric equalizer gives you full flexibility to adjust your sound exactly to your needs. The parametric equalizer available via the Smart Control Plus App lets you shape your sound exactly how you like it — down to the smallest detail. A standard graphic equalizer lets you boost or cut within preset frequency bands — handy for quick adjustments, but not ideal if those bands aren’t exactly where you want them. The HDB 630’s parametric equalizer puts you in the driver’s seat: you can set the exact frequency range you prefer, control the bandwidth to make that adjustment wide or narrow, and choose the filter type for even more precise shaping. This flexibility lets you tailor vocals to your preference, adjust brightness, or fine-tune bass — without affecting the rest of your music. It offers a level of control rarely seen in wireless headphones, perfectly complementing the audiophile tuning. Room for Improvement

Did you know how much influence you have over the signal volume in a modern, wireless audio signal flow? Imagine wearing five pairs of sunglasses on top of each other. Not only would you look a bit silly, but you probably wouldn’t be able to see much either. The same thing happens to audio signals when they are throttled multiple times. On a modern smartphone, you will find quite a few of those bottlenecks, starting with the volume control buttons, certain system settings such as “Reduce Loud Sounds”, and some well-hidden accessibility features. And of course, there may be settings in your favourite music app(s) that affect the signal volume. Your HDB 630 is the last link in this chain, so the louder the signal you feed it, the better! First, check whether you have enabled the “Reduce Loud Sounds” setting, and if you are using an ill-suited equaliser profile that is thinning out your signal. If everything is correct and your signal has a clear path, you can tailor it using the parametric equaliser (PEQ) in the Sennheiser Smart Control Plus app. It allows for very precise adjustments and makes good use of the audio signal headroom. Bonus: You’ll also find all other settings for the HDB 630 in this app, so you don’t have to jump between apps, menus, and settings to get everything just right.
