Just a quickie to say that we are delighted to have the new Sonus Faber Olympica Nova G3 III speakers on permanent demo, being Sonus Faber they look absolutely stunning, I don’t know how they do it to be honest, with every new generation they always find a way to take them up to the next level in both design and sound quality.
They may look similar to the previous version but they are a total ground up re-design with some really interesting design features, like the new ‘Camelia’ mid range that is a direct descendant of the totally gorgeous £470K flagship Suprema speakers + the tweeter and midrange are housed in a dedicated closed acoustic chamber, designed to enhance driver performance. This internal volume is damped with a specific cork structure which improves resolution whilst retaining that organic and natural sound that Sonus Faber are famous for.
We have been running these for a few days now and I have to say even though the price has risen to £20,000 they really do deliver, running them on our Nagra setup it really is hard to find fault and when you think the PMC Fact.12 is a similar price you do have to say that the new Olympica III’s really are worth every penny, have to say that will be a great demo for anyone lucky enough to have £20k to spend on speakers as both options are superb but both sound very different.
