I’m always pleased to announce a PMC open day as they are always some of the best open days we do, a lot of fun and we always get a great turnout so a date for everyones diary is March 29th where we will have the worlds first Open Day showcasing the truly excellent new PMC Prophecy Speaker Range.
Over the years the various Twenty Series speakers were easily our most popular speaker range, and rightly so as they were truly brilliant, I actually used to say that I had no idea how PMC could possibly beat these but guess what, they really have with this new range, firstly I feel they look really modern and fresh, secondly they sound incredible, for me it is the size of the image they paint for reasonably small speakers and last but certainly not least PMC have somehow managed to keep the pricing really competitive in a world of constant price ranges, a lot of manufacturer’s use a new range as an excuse to put prices up but not here, they are actually cheaper than their Twenty5i equivalents so PMC should be applauded here I feel.
As I have said before it is all thanks to PMC that there is a HiFi Lounge as when I was a printer I kept upgrading my PMC speakers till I got to the MB2i’s then I decided to leave my print business so that I could become a HiFi dealer to sell PMC speakers, seems mad really looking back, what on earth was Wendy and I thinking, but it was the best decision we ever made and we still run PMC at home with their epic BB5 SE’s, so this new range is a big deal for HFL as it is the 1st new PMC range launched since we started HiFi Lounge.
Open Day Details
For the Open Day we will have 3 rooms running and a few of the top guys and development team over from PMC to help run the rooms and talk about the new range and all things PMC.
In the infamous great sounding upstairs room we will run the Prophecy 1’s and 5’s on a PMC COR amplifier, then in the 1st downstair room we will run the Prophecy 7’s (arguably the sweet spot in the range) with a Bryston setup then in the final room we will be playing the biggest speaker in the range, the Prophecy 9’s and holding 3 presentations by PMC on the development of the Prophecy range.

As mentioned above the development team at PMC will be doing 3 presentations outlining the development of the Prophecy range and what it entails to design a new speaker range from scratch.
The timings for these presentations are as below, spaces are limited so please e-mail me on paul@hifilounge with your preferred slot –

Once the presentation is over please feel free to hang around for refreshments, talk to the guys from PMC and enjoy the demo rooms running other Prophecy’s, you can even talk to me if you’re really bored.
