Hi Everyone,
It was a big day last week as we finally received the much anticipated Chord Electronics Quartet Reference Upscaler for permanent demo which is working beautifully with the Aurender N50 we currently have on demo, the 2 together make a true Reference digital front end.
I haven’t had a chance to sit down for a decent session yet with the Quartet as been a busy few days + I wanted to get some hours on it before giving it a proper listen but straight out of the box after a quick listen you can tell the step up it has bought the Chord’s Dave is very impressive.
What I can’t wait to try is the analogue input as the Quartet has an ADC (analogue to digital converter) built in, Chord say it better than I can, please see below, be fascinating to hear how a good turntable sounds being fed through it –
‘For the first time in a Chord Electronics upscaler, the Quartet integrates a proprietary Pulse Array ADC (analogue-to-digital converter). This allows analogue sources, including high-end turntables, to benefit directly from the device’s upscaling power. By employing advanced decimation filtering, the integrated ADC eliminates traditional aliasing distortion, outperforming even dedicated studio-grade conversion hardware.’ all sounds very intriguing.
Please find a link below to the Quartet on our website below and a few pictures of it in the shop.
If you’d like to come in for a demo anytime please feel free to get in touch to book an appointment.
